A First Look at the Blackberry 9300 Curve 3G

RIM have taken the superb messaging facilities of there excellent "Curve" range of mobile handsets, and partnered it with super 3G network coverage for the first time on their latest model, the 9300 Curve 3G.
Blackberry handsets have always been popular with business people in need of checking e mails whilst on the move.
The recent boom in social networking sites has seen the handsets cross over to a more youth orientated market thanks to the excellent coverage and facilities being perfect to keep in touch via the internet.
The Blackberry 9300 Curve 3G is perhaps the best handset yet thanks to its support of 3G, making accessing data whilst on the move faster than ever.
The decision to facilitate 3G on this model was almost inevitable, with many lower end phones already boasting the technology.
Even when the user is not in an area covered by 3G, the class 10 GPRS and EDGE support means that a satisfactory online connection should still be received.
The phone is also Wirless LAN enabled, so when you area within range of one of your own personal networks, or even a publicly available one, you can take advantage of the super fast Wi-Fi option to experience the most pleasing online activity possible on a mobile handset.
In terms of looks, the Blackberry 9300 Curve 3G follows the path of many of its predecessors, with sleek looks and the inevitable full qwerty keypad.
As the phones name suggests, it is slight curvier than other models, and the introduction of metallic parts of the fascia do give the handset a very high end look.
The excellent optical trackpad is once again favoured over a touchscreen, mean navigation is performed via a small pad beneath the screen acting in much the same way as a computer mouse.
The keyboard feel a better build quality than on some previous efforts, with no movement when you press the keys, and the individual buttons generally responding well when composing texts or messages.
At 320 x 240 resolution, the screen is certainly not up there with the highest resolution screens available, however at 2.
4 inches in size, it performs well another, with text appearing clear and colours vivid thanks to the 65000 palette that the phone can display.
A 2 mega pixel camera is also featured, making it perfect for taking photographs whilst on the move.
The Blackberry 9300 Curve 3G does really benefit from the inclusion of the higher speed connection options, adding further appeal to an already attractive phone package.
