The Truth About Fat Burning Exercises
From the beautiful people to us ordinary folk, everyone seems terribly certain that they've got to lose weight.
What other reason could there be for all that information out there with advice on weight loss, the best fat burning exercises, and the quickest way to lose ten pounds in a week.
Why are we all so obsessed with our weight? Yes, I know it's been said before, but some time ago, a little fat was considered a sign of health and wealth.
No one would have considered it necessary to go through all the fat burning exercises that we do today.
But today, if you're a few pounds overweight in school, it's almost certain that at least one person is going to poke fun at you.
Then there are the many well-meaning friends and members of family who keep pushing diets and exercise programs at you until you lose weight.
While they all mean well, this does make things a little more difficult.
Especially if the family and friends who are so busy trying to make sure you are sticking to your routine of dieting and exercises for burning off the extra calories and fat, actually have no idea how much effort is involved because they've never had to do it themselves.
It is great to be fit, and a trim figure is an added bonus.
But the expectation of slenderness that is around now can't be healthy.
To be fair, there is a growing understanding that skinny isn't necessarily the best way to be, unless you're that way naturally.
But most people still grow up with the unrealistic belief that if you're above a size two, there's no way you can be beautiful.
So, they keep at those fat burning exercises, hoping that someday they'll get there.
It is true that if you're carrying around excess weight, it's not good for you.
It slows you down and makes you feel bad.
But if you're fit, if you can climb a flight of stairs without being out of breath at the end of it, if you're within the recommended weight for your height (decided by a physician, not by self-proclaimed experts), and can handle yourself in all the situations life throws at you daily, then why worry? Of course, this shouldn't be used as a cop-out when you actually need to lose some weight to stay healthy.
But some of us will never be a size 2...
or even a size 4, 6 or 8, and as long as we can look the world in the face and say that we are the best we can be, we're better off than a huge percentage of the world's population.
Besides, there are always bigger issues to worry about - world peace, anyone?
