    • 1). Place the push mower on a table or other work surface and remove the blade and side cover.

    • 2). Install the pulley onto the crankshaft of the lawn mower motor. Use an old bolt and washer from the blade to secure the pulley.

    • 3). Measure the distance from one bolt hole to the other on the alternator. Use that measurement to drill the holes in the deck.

    • 4). Bolt one side of the alternator to the frame.

    • 5). Install the bracket to the other hole and then secure the alternator to the bracket.

    • 6). Install the V belt to the pulley on the crankshaft and the alternator. Turn the alternator to tighten the belt.

    • 7). Drill a hole in the front of the deck for the electric outlet box and bolt the box to it.

    • 8). Connect the hot wire to the nut on the back of the alternator. This bolt will have a red ring around it.

    • 9). Place the hot wire through the back of the electric outlet box and connect it to the hot side of the electric outlet.

      Connect the ground wire to the back of the alternator and run that wire through the back of the electric box and connect it to the ground side of the outlet.

      Start up the generator by pulling the start cord on the mower.
