Toys

• Plastic dinosaur toys are available in a variety of sizes, shapes and colors. Usually, they are available in large quantities in bags at discount or dollar stores. Purchase a couple of bags and get to work baking your cupcakes. Frost the cupcakes in regular frosting, or color the frosting green for grass. Place one or two little plastic dinosaurs on top of each cupcake. You can also add shredded coconut dyed green and small oval candies to represent dinosaur eggs.
  
  

Toppers

• Use dinosaur-clad cupcake rings or picks. If you have a couple of different colors, it makes it easier to tell cupcake flavors apart if you offer two different kinds. If you're preparing cupcakes for a birthday, check your local grocer or baker to see if they sell dinosaur candles.
  
  

Candy

• Edible sugar candies shaped like dinosaurs, or gummy dinosaurs, are a couple other topping options. Some grocers sell tiny dinosaur candies, which can be sprinkled on top of all of the cupcakes like confetti.
