How to make Toddlers fall Asleep
As the evening unfolds parents all over the world can't wait for their toddlers to fall asleep. There is so much that needs to be done but with little kids one cannot sit by the computer or even do dishes without constant interruptions. This is not to mention all of the extra shores that the toddler and other siblings will give you during the early evening. Spilled milk anyone?
There is nothing bad about this. After all, these are the days that will never come back. When you feel that bedtime for your toddlers is too far away this is what you need to remind yourself of. One day they will not be sleeping under your roof and then you might just want to transport yourself back to the good old messy days.
Still, the toddler needs to go to sleep and there are a few things that you can do to make this happen smoother and faster. First of all, it is very tricky to put a hungry toddler to sleep. If you had early dinner around 4PM you might want to add a nighttime snack to that right before bedtime.
It is also important that your toddler is physically tired. He probably burnt a lot of energies at day care but rainy days he could be less "worked-out" after spending most of the day crafting inside with the rest of the lot. Let him move around a bit by turning on some of his favorite music to dance to. You could also give him a nice hot bath. Nothing like hot baths to put toddlers to sleep!
Now that your toddler has eaten and is clean and tired you can take a cat nap with him. When you open your eyes he is sound asleep and you are ready for all of those things you just have to get done during toddler-free hours!
