Tag Clouds - Is Your Cloud in Your Head?
Yes, I meant to ask it that way, not"Is your head in the clouds?" Maybe if you knew more about the cloud in your head, less people would think your head is in the clouds! Have you ever heard of a tag cloud? Have you ever seen one? I had seen tag clouds, but only recently became aware of what they are called and what they represent.
I'm not really that much of a techie, but I find the concept of a tag cloud fascinating.
They look essentially like a text box filled with a list of words in different sizes and/or colors.
Definition of tag cloud: A tag cloud is a weighted list of themes, topics or categories, in the form of a visual representation.
The tags are in alphabetical order with the importance or popularity of a tag represented by differing fonts size and/or color.
In a glance, you can see the tags that are most frequently accessed.
A tag cloud typically has 30 to 150 tags.
Imagine your brain as a tag cloud.
I think this is a great way to visualize what goes on inside our brains.
Imagine your brain as a tag cloud with the possibility of countless thousands of tags representing the categories of thoughts that a human mind can access and store.
Even with the amazingly large storage capacity of the human brain, most days we repeatedly access the same thoughts and themes that make up the top 150 or so categories in our brain tag cloud.
There is no way to fake this.
The more you access a thought or concept, talk about it, think about, support it, experience it, the bigger the font.

Now, think about this: As a student of Jesus Christ, what does your brain's tag cloud look like? What words are in the biggest font sizes? Grace, God, Jesus, praise, thanksgiving, trust, giving, love? Or, would it be words like me, mine, why, how, self, lust, etc.
? What tags would be in teeny tiny fonts? What would not even be a category based on how little we think about it? Pretty scary, huh? I hope I am long gone before they come up with the technology to display my brain tag cloud in a LCD screen knitted into my sweatshirt! What about you?
