Connect Motorola i850 to the Computer

• 1). Open the connector cover located on the bottom side of the Motorola i850. This cover protects the phone's accessory connector terminal.
  
  
• 2). Flip open the phone's display and hold the phone in your hand with the display facing up, as if you were about to place a phone call.
  
  
• 3). Plug the smaller end of the data cable in the accessory connector terminal. Push the cable until you hear it click.
  
  
• 4). Insert the other end of the data cable into an unused USB port on the computer.
  
  
• 5). Turn on the computer.
  
  

Install Motorola i850 as a Modem on the Computer

• 1). Log into the computer using an account with administrator rights.
  
  
• 2). Open the "Start" menu. Select "Control Panel."
  
  
• 3). Select "Printers and Other Hardware." Click "Phone and Modem Options." Go to the "Modems" tab and click "Add" to launch the Add a Device wizard.
  
  
• 4). Follow the wizard's prompts to add the Motorola i850 phone as a modem device on the computer.
  
  

Set Up a Dial-Up Connection with the i850

• 1). Log into the computer using an account with administrator rights.
  
  
• 2). Open the "Start" menu. Select "Control Panel."
  
  
• 3). Click "Network and Internet Connections." Click "Network Connections." Click "New Connection Wizard" to launch the New Connection Wizard. Click "Next."
  
  
• 4). Select "Connect to the Internet." Click "Next." Select "Set up my connection manually." Click "Next." Select "Connect using a dial-up modem." Click "Next."
  
  
• 5). Follow the remaining prompts to establish a dial-up Internet connection.
