    • 1). Click "Windows Explorer" on the desktop's task bar, or click "Windows" in the bottom-left corner of the desktop and then click "All Programs" and "Windows Explorer."

    • 2). Locate the file or folder you want to lock from all other users, and right-click the file in the Windows Explorer window.

    • 3). Click "Share with" in the shortcut menu, and click "Nobody" to lock the file from all users. A locked icon appears on top of the file's image to indicate it is restricted from access.

    • 4). Close the Windows Explorer window to exit and return to the desktop.
