You are probably looking at this article and thinking to yourself; oh no! Not that word again! Most of us do not like doing exercises.
In fact, we do not even like thinking about it.
We spend so much time just trying to get through life, and to put time aside for exercise seems like just another strenuous task that has to be performed.
Unfortunately, our bodies are designed in such a way that it needs to be worked in order to stay in peak condition.
The more we use our bodies, the better they become.
So why is there not an exercise pill that will do the hard work for us? It would probably be the biggest seller in history and will gain instant popularity, unfortunately, it does not exist, and it will not exist for some time to come.
It is not all bad news though; exercise does not just result in fitness or in body tone.
Yes, you will get fit, and yes, your muscles will tone up; but one of the most surprising benefits is cosmetic.
Exercising lowest blood pressure and oxygenates the blood at the same time.
After a while, the body is less stressed, and more oxygen has been pumped into the organs and into the skin to accelerate repair work on any damaged areas.
This means that the body ages at a slower rate, and the skin looks a lot better too.
If you are the person that likes good food, exercise gives you little space to eat more, and not put on extra weight.
This is because exercising increases the rate of metabolism, which allows you to burn fuel more efficiently.
The type of exercise you choose to do, depends solely on what you hope to achieve.
However, the most common type of exercise routines needs to include stretching, cardiovascular workout, and resistance training.
Stretching is important because it helps to warm up the muscles and prevents tearing and other damage due to overexertion.
Cardiovascular training is of critical importance because it is responsible for getting the heart pumping, thus helping the oxygenated blood flow more easily into the muscles to help them develop and grow as they are exercised.
Resistance training is probably one element that is disliked by most people because it entails strenuous activity, which can result in sore muscles over a period of time.
Before embarking on an exercise routine, there are two very important steps that need to be followed.
First, visit your doctor for a checkup and explain what you would like to do.
Your doctor will inform you what is safe for you to try and what you should stay away from.
Next, you need to speak to a trainer and explain to him or her what you would like to achieve.
Based on your requirements, and that of your doctor, your trainer will put together an exercise routine that will help get you to where you want to be, but without undue and dangerous strain.
None of us likes to do exercise, but for the sake of our health, we need to do so.
