Amateur Transplants are a London based, British parody musical duo consisting of medical professionals, Dr. Adam Kay and Dr. Suman Biswas, Both studied medicine at Imperial College London, who came to prominence in 2005 with a song about London Underground, parodying the Jam song "Going Underground". Amateur Transplants regularly perform live, and have been recommended by Time Out, including several successful years at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Amateur Transplants  music consists mainly of parody comic songs mostly dealing with medical subjects. A few of their parodies are based on the works of American comedic song writer Tom Lehrer. In 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 they performed at the Edinburgh Fringe. 10% of the proceeds from their first album Fitness to Practice were donated to Macmillan Cancer Relief. Amateur Transplants have also released a second album Unfit to Practise and a third album, available on iTunes, In Theatre. Their song Anaesthetist's Hymn was featured in Geek Pop 2008.

Amateur Transplants ‘s track London Underground, along with its accompanying flash animation, was a popular internet fad in the UK in 2005. It was set to the tune of "Going Underground" by The Jam criticising the London Underground strike that was on at the time. It contains strong language. It was released with their first album, and a newly recorded version with a rock music accompaniment was included in Unfit to Practise,. as well as released as a single on the iTunes Store, reaching number one in their 'Comedy' chart having been downloaded over 4 million times. In recent years, the line, and chewing gum on every seat' has been replaced with, and nail bombs on every seat.''

The albums released by Amateur Transplants are Fitness to Practice - 2004,The Black and White Menstrual Show - 2007 (DVD of performance), Unfit to Practise – 2008 and In Theatre - 2009 (Live recorded album).

Fitness to Practice is a 2004 album produced for charity by Amateur Transplants (Dr Adam Kay and Dr Suman Biswas). 10% of the profits from the album sales go to Macmillan Cancer Relief.There is now a newly remastered version of the album available with two bonus tracks, "Northern Birds" and "What I went to SKL 4". Unfit to Practise is the second album from the Amateur Transplants.

Amateur Transplants in The Black and White Menstual Show Live! is a 2007 DVD relased by Amateur Transplants (Dr Adam Kay and Dr Suman Biswas), recorded at the New Players Theatre, London.

In Theatre is the third album from the parody duo Amateur Transplants, a live album released on iTunes on 20 June 2009. It first hit Number 1 in the iTunes Comedy chart on 10 July 2009.It was recorded at a live performance in London in February 2009.
