How to Erase Permanent Ink
- 1). Dampen a clean cloth with isopropyl alcohol. Isopropyl alcohol is effective at removing permanent ink from whiteboards, walls and other surfaces.
- 2). Wipe the cloth in circular motions over the surface to remove the ink marks.
- 3). Moisten another clean cloth with non-acetone fingernail polish remover, if ink marks remain. Non-acetone fingernail polish remover is also effective at removing permanent ink.
- 4). Rub the cloth over the surface until there are no more ink marks. Dampen a sponge with water and rub it over the surface to rinse.
- 5). Wipe the surface dry with a clean towel.
