Interval Training Will Reduce Your Cardio Training Time

When you decide to use high intensity interval training, you will find that you are going to spend less time in the gym.
We are going to take a look at a cardiovascular workout method that will burn fat off fast.
You will see that you can burn more fat, and do less cardio work at the same time.
I am sure that you have been told that in order to burn the most fat you should be doing 20 to 60 minutes of cardio per day.
This will work, but high intensity cardio is a more athlete friendly form of cardio.
With this program you will be working harder than you might be used to, but it will only be for 1/4 the amount of time.
It is so intense that you will only need 15 to 20 minutes tops to complete.
When you work at high intensity, you will burn a higher total of calories then you would be burning at a moderate pace.
This will also boost hormone levels and encourage muscle growth.
It will also elevate your bodies metabolism all day long.
So what will this mean for you? Well, the faster your metabolism, the more calories you will be burning, which means you will lose fat faster.
This sounds good right? Well it is, but you will make all the cardio exercises that you are doing more difficult to do.
This is the aspect that turns a lot of people off of this type of training.
Moderate to low intensity exercise sounds a lot better to most people than working harder does, but there is more good than there is bad.
What you want to do is pick the exercises that you have found work best for you and add resistance to them.
For instance, if you find that the tread mill is the best exercise machine for you, then turn up the speed of the belt, and the incline of the platform.
You will soon find out that you can not spend anymore than 15 to 20 minutes tops on it at a time.
Any way that you can shorten your cardio session should be a big help, even if you have to work harder to get it done.
Look at it as a challenge.
It is a good test of your physical fitness level.
