It's been proven time and again that the best way to work through intense emotion is to talk about it, OR to write about it. By writing in a journal you can emulate the process of talking to another person, and therefore begin to deal with the pain of what you're going through.

So, you're probably wondering when you should write in your journal?

Well, I'll tell you. Any time that your spouse does something that you suspect could be related to their affair. Catching your spouse cheating is a delicate process, and the best way to handle it is to get all that emotion out of your system.

I know it sounds counter intuitive, but just trust me, it works wonders.

All I ask is that you try this for a week. For a week, just write down the when and where of what you think your spouse is doing. Write down how it makes you feel, maybe what you'd like to do about it, anything that comes to mind. Just for one week, make this journal your best friend.
