April 12, 2005 Online gamers have a chance to be on the front line in a war, the War of the Worlds to be exact. In support of the June 29th release of Paramount Pictures'/DreamWorks Pictures' "War of the Worlds," directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Tom Cruise, Paramount Pictures Interactive Marketing will launch a human survival online game at WarOfTheWorlds.com on April 14th.
According to Paramount Pictures, this human survival game "echoes the themes and real world environments of the film, the game calls upon players to rescue survivors, collect objects, and escape danger in varying combinations." Players have to avoid being attacked by aliens as they make their way through a maze.

Paramount has made the game free to users, and in addition multiple players can play.
