3 Reasons Why You Probably Don"t Need More Than a 30 Minute Workout

If you're that guy who likes to hang out at the gym for a couple of hours every day, I have some rather unfortunate news for you: those marathon workout sessions probably aren't doing you that much good.
Here's three reasons why a 30 minute workout is plenty: 1.
After about 30 minutes, your workout intensity starts to decline Intensity and volume are inversely related.
The harder you work, the less amount of time you'll be able to sustain it for.
If you're working out for two hours at a pop, I can assure you you're not working out as hard as you could be that entire time.
It's almost humanly impossible.

The longer you workout, your testosterone levels start to decline and your cortisol levels start to go up Research has shown that after about 45-60 minutes your testosterone levels start to quickly decrease and cortisol levels start to rise.
This is a bad thing if you're trying to gain muscle.
If we stick to roughly a 30 minute workout, we err on the safe side and prevent this from happening.
3.
Limiting Yourself to 30 Minutes Requires Lazer Focus Best of all, if you know you only have time for a 30 minute workout, you have to stay super focused on what you're doing and on being as prodcutive as humanly possible.
If you get side tracked by a phone call, a conversation, or whatever, you're not going to get done in that 30 minute time frame.
