How to Tell If a PC Has a Firewall

104 1
    • 1). Turn on your PC.

    • 2). Click on "Start," and then click "Control Panel."

    • 3). Double-click the "Security Center" folder, and then click "Windows Firewall" near the bottom of the window. This will open the Windows Firewall window, and it will allow you to either turn your firewall on or off. Of course, whichever setting you find will indicate whether the firewall is on. (There are other options here beyond simply knowing if you're firewall is on, which require more training and allow for a more extensive security system on your Internet. For example, allowing exception websites to be viewed with the firewall on.)
