Moving Your Tiles & Creating Matches

• To get resources to use in building your city in Cradle of Persia, you must match three or more tiles of the same kind by clicking on adjacent pieces and dragging the selection to make a match. You begin the game with three lives and must avoid defeat by moving your tiles to create the best matches, which will in turn give you the resources necessary to build your city.
  
  To finish levels faster and make larger matches, move the tiles the right way fall. This will also enable you to use the magic runes that appear every 10 or 12 levels. Once you line up all the runes and link them, you immediately pass the level. Earn Princess citizenship status by lining up magic runes and completing five consecutive levels.
  
  To earn more points per tile, link five or more tiles to earn the maximum number of points. For every 20,000 points you earn, you also get an extra life. You should also make matches early in the game to reach corners, as patterns become more complicated as you go up a level. Bonus treasures appear often throughout the game. Use them to replace the tile of your choice. You might also want to keep your bonuses to use them in later, more challenging levels.
  
  You must break chains completely into chained pieces to move them from their original position. Break these chains before you begin matching--even on the corners--to finish the game more easily.
  
  

Managing Your Resources

• Once you gather enough resources from matching blocks, you can purchase buildings for your city in the Game Shop that automatically appears at the end of each completed level. Browse through the catalog, which includes the description and amount of resources needed to buy a city.
  
  To maximize your purchasing power you must create extra matches on the resources of which you have the least. To immediately purchase a city you must fill your requirements as quickly as possible because you will earn the resource that you need only if you quickly complete a level. Track your resources on the top right side of the summary page under Time Bonus.
  
  

Using Power-Ups

• If you already have a power-up filled to the fourth upgrade, you might want to use it early and refill it as you go along to increase efficiency. Use it for the next level or wait until you need it. If you are moving toward the end of a level but are still armed with a power-up, you might opt to just save it for the succeeding levels. If you are about to end a level with plenty of time to spare, you should go to the opposite side of the screen and match as many power-ups as you can to replenish your bonus and use it in the succeeding, more difficult levels.
