Chelsea briefly recaps the meeting the girls had with Billie and mentions how weird Ford’s disappearance was. She concocts a story about letting a drunk and persistent Ford into the house, claiming he apologized, then passed out, so they let him sleep on the sofa. Nick is bewildered that the girls allowed Ford to stay there. They are interrupted when they hear someone scream nearby and proceed to check it out.

An angry Carmen comes downstairs dressed in a towel ready to confront the person who used all the hot water. Nick surmises that it’s probably the water heater in the basement. Max then has a flashback to burying Ford in the basement. Nick offers to check it out, but a nervous Chelsea insists that Max can do it, which arouses suspicion in Nick. Max claims it’s “that time of year.” Chelsea lies that his present is in the basement and leads Nick back into the bedroom. Chelsea kisses him and apologizes again for bailing on him. She suggests they finish their night right there, right now, and makes out with him on the bed.

Max goes downstairs in the dark, creepy basement while cryptic music plays in the background. He adjusts the water heater before turning out the light and heading back upstairs to Morgan. She announces that Carmen went next door to finish her shower and coaxes him to take a hot bubble bath with her, then kisses him before he can say no. Max breaks away and stammers how smart, beautiful, and amazing she is before letting her down gently, then leaves.

He runs into Carmen outside, who informs himr that she received a message from Steph and found Cordy at Chez Rouge. Max thanks her.

Nick later emerges from the bedroom buttoning his shirt up and asks a dejected Morgan if Max is still there. “Sorry, no,” replies Morgan. Nick then queries if Stephanie called. Morgan gets defensive and wonders why that matters, then suspects that Max is wishing to get back together with Stephanie. Chelsea calls for Nick, which is his cue to head back to the bedroom. Morgan hands him a bottle of wine and grumpily wishes him a Merry Christmas. “Here’s to love,” Morgan sarcastically toasts to herself.

Nick re-enters Chelsea’s bedroom. Chelsea is naked under the covers and wonders where he was. He displays the bottle of wine Morgan gave them and suspects that Max dumped her for Stephanie. A giddy Chelsea encourages him to get under the covers and warm her up. Nick takes his shirt off and jokes that whatever’s hiding in the basement can’t top “this,” meaning his physique.

Stephanie arrives at Chez Rouge looking for Cordy. The hostess informs her that a young lady came in who wasn’t feeling well, then asked to use the restroom. Steph thanks her and heads to the ladies’ room. She calls out for Cordy and finds the distraught girl in one of the stalls and tries to assure her that everything’s going to be okay. Steph is alarmed when she sees Cordy holding a bottle of pills and asks how many she took. She brings Cordy out of the stall as Cordy cries how she can’t stop thinking about Ford. Steph claims she understands, but Cordy disagrees. “Ford raped me too,” Steph finally reveals. Cordy doesn’t believe her at first. Steph proceeds to call 911, but Cordy claims she didn’t take any pills, since Steph arrived in time. Cordy recalls how her heart was beating so fast when Billie arrived at the house, then she grabbed the pills, jumped on her bike, and ended up there. She berates herself for her rape, but Stephanie insists it wasn’t her fault and implores her to stop blaming herself. Stephanie recounts how she went after Ford in order to make Max jealous and had everything under control until Ford mixed her a drink and the room started spinning. Cordy hugs a sobbing Stephanie, who cries how much she wanted to tell her.

Stephanie recounts how she saw Max falling for Morgan, so she agreed to go back to Ford’s room with him. Steph cries how she suddenly felt sick and couldn’t focus or stop him. She has flashbacks to her horrid night with Ford. She seethes how Ford stared and never took his eyes off of her when he raped her. Cordy wonders why she didn’t tell her. Steph wails how scared she was and refers to herself as a total impostor and hypocrite. She then recalls how she told her dad once that if she was a daredevil it was because of him and admits she loved taking chances whenever she could, but now she’s always scared. Steph apologizes to Cordy for having to face her rape alone and for not coming forward sooner. Cordy admits she’s glad Steph told her and doesn’t feel so desperate now and finally has a friend who understands. “You have a friend who’s a coward,” counters Steph. Cordy forgives her and encourages Steph to forgive herself.

Stephanie later has no luck getting a hold of Chelsea, Morgan, or Carmen, but left voicemails. Cordy then demurs how she never thought she’d be a victim of a rapist. She refers to Stephanie as incredibly brave, since she took Ford’s body and put it in the basement. Stephanie reminds Cordy how brave she was by spitting in Ford’s face. Cordy then asks Stephanie to go to therapy with her. Stephanie nixes the idea, but Cordy attempts to persuade her otherwise. Cordy warns her that if she doesn’t tell her parents, it will get bigger and bigger until she finally breaks. She then tosses her pills in the trash. “You saved my life tonight. Let me save yours,” she implores.

The girls later emerge from the ladies’ room as a grateful Cordy says she’ll never forget how Stephanie saved her life. Max arrives just as Cordy asks Stephanie to promise to tell someone close to her what happened.
