This birthday treat idea is especially fitting for the man who is dedicated to his dog. Celebrate that special "man's best friend" bond on a man's birthday by baking edible dog treats and delivering them, along with a separate container of dog food treats made just for dogs, and watch both man and pup show their appreciation. To prepare edible dog treats, use this recipe from Celebrations.com: Stir together one egg, 1/3 cup peanut butter, 1/2 cup mashed banana and 1 tablespoon honey. Add 1 cup whole wheat flour and 1/2 cup wheat germ and mix well. Roll out the dough you have just made on a clean, well-floured surface until it is about 1/4-inch thick. Use a cookie cutter in the shape of a dog bone to cut the dough and then place the treats on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Beat an egg white lightly and use it to brush the tops of the treats. Bake at 300 degrees Fahrenheit until golden brown, which should take approximately half an hour.

Give this gift basket to a guy who loves Mexican food, appreciates Mexican or Latin culture, or just likes to wear a sombrero and drink margaritas on his birthday. Fill a large gift basket with any of these items, suggests Homemade-gift-basket-ideas.com: seasonings such as chili powder, oregano, taco seasoning, paprika, garlic flakes or powder, jalapenos and hot sauce, and snacks such as tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, black bean dip and cheese sauces. Nice finishing touches include small containers of Mexican beers, coffees, teas or hot chocolates, the ingredients for margaritas, or a Mexican cookbook or a CD of Latin dance music. Use napkins or kitchen towels with chili peppers or sombreros printed on them as filler between items in the gift basket.
