    Plastic Canvas Cross

    • Cut a small piece of plastic canvas into the shape of a cross (see Resources for a link to a printable pattern). Weave beautiful colors of yarn or ribbon onto the cross to create an attractive cover for the plastic canvas. After weaving the yarn or ribbon into the plastic grid, embellish the cross by attaching beads with string or hot glue. You can make the crosses in whatever size best suits your needs and in two or more color combinations to create bookmarks, magnets, key chains, rear-view mirror decorations and tree ornaments.

    Bible Carriers

    • Those with some sewing or knitting skills can make a Bible carrier for churchgoers on your Christmas list. Create a cloth sleeve with a handle that can be used to carry the Bible to and from church services. For best results, measure the thickness, width and length of the receiver's Bible, or use a common Bible size. Choose a Christian- or Christmas-inspired fabric for cloth or canvas carriers, or mix and match a variety of colors to knit a carrier. Personalize the carrier by embroidering or painting on the recipient's name or favorite Bible verse.

    Wall Art

    • Simple, unpainted wooden plaques purchased at your local craft store are easy to turn into Christian-themed wall art that gift recipients may display seasonally or year-round. Use stencils and acrylic paint to create a wall art plaque featuring the recipient's favorite Bible verse, Christian slogan or saying. If you have artistic skills, paint or otherwise depict a Bible scene on the wall art plaque. Instead of wooden plaques, you can also stencil or paint on canvas, plain cardboard boxes or small crosses cut from wood.
