How to Shine My Terrazzo Flooring
- 1). Buff the floor with a buffing machine and 800-grit polishing powder. The powder should be applied in overlapping passes. Repeat on the entire floor several times. Depending on the size of the floor, you may have to change the buffing pads as you go.
- 2). Rinse off the floor with water. Use a wet/dry vacuum to suck up the water and powder as much as possible.
- 3). Change the pad and buff the floor with 1,500-grit polishing powder. Follow the buffing instructions listed above, remembering to change the buffing pad as you go along if needed.
- 4). Rinse off the floor again with water. Suck up the water and powder with a wet/dry vacuum.
- 5). Use towels to dry the floor. Apply a wax sealer with a cloth.
- 1). Prepare a solution of wax stripper diluted with water in a bucket. Apply the stripper around the floor with a mop. Remove the wax with scrub pads. Go over the floor with a buffing machine.
- 2). Apply a thin coat of a high-polymer wax sealer to your floor. Spread the wax sealer around the floor in a circular motion with a soft cloth.
- 3). Buff the floor again. Vacuum up any dirt and dust. Apply another coat of wax sealer. Buff the floor one last time.
