Fruit and flowers make a wonderful, sweet gift for gardeners and non-gardeners alike. According to Romance Stuck, fruit and flowers are also the traditional gift for a fourth wedding anniversary. This gift can come in many forms, from a simple arrangement to something a little more complicated. Giving fruit and flower gifts is limited only by your imagination.

    Edible Flower Arrangements

    • A flower arrangement never tasted so good. Edible flower arrangements are creatively crafted fruits made to look like flowers. Slices of pineapple and melon become daisies, dipped or natural strawberries resemble roses, skewered grapes, watermelon, honey dew and cantaloupe are all used as fillers. Edible flower arrangements are ideal for anniversaries, graduations, birthdays, get well gifts or just because. Edible flower arrangements are available at many local specialty stores or online.

    Fruit Roses

    • Fruit roses come as single roses or in a bouquet. These silk roses are available in every color of the rainbow. Each of these roses has a single fruit in the center of the rose. Commonly, this fruit is an apple or a pear, but it can also be a large berry or similar fruit. Because this flower arrangement is artificial, it will give your recipient a long-lasting reminder of your generosity. You can also add to this bouquet year after year to create a larger display. Fruit roses are available online.

Fresh Fruit Basket with Packets of Flower Seeds

    • For this gift, you can purchase an already assembled basket of fruit or create one yourself. Select a large basket and some filler similar to what you'd find in an Easter basket. Choose seasonal fruit--fruit from an open air market will be fresh and probably taste better---and gently place them in the basket. Tuck in some perennial and annual seeds between the fruit, add a bow, and you have a gift for almost any occasion.

    Dwarf Citrus Tree

    • A dwarf citrus not only produces fragrant flowers but also will produce delicious oranges, lemons, limes or tangerines for years to come. The dwarf citrus tree will need five to six hours of bright sunlight, but the blooms and the fruit will produce year-round. Indoors, these trees typically grow to 5 feet tall, according to Colorado State University. This is a good birthday and anniversary gift for the gardener in your life or a loved one with limited gardening space. These trees are available at your local nursery or online.
