Homemade Beer Fridge
- 1). Remove all shelves from the refrigerator. Be sure the surface the keg and CO2 tank will rest on is sturdy and that they will have at least 8 inches of clearance to the ceiling.
- 2). Find a spot on the refrigerator door for the faucet. Mark the spot on the inside of the door, then measure from the side and top of the door and transfer the mark to the outside of the door.
- 3). Using the 1/4-inch drill bit, drill all the way through the door. Using the 7/8-inch hole saw, drill only through the inside part of the door. Use the 1 3/8-inch hole saw to drill through only the outside part of the door.
- 4). Measure the depth of the hole and use the saw to cut the PVC pipe spacer 1/8 inch shorter. Insert it in the hole.
- 5). Connect the beer faucet to shank with faucet wrench. Put the shank through the hole in the refrigerator and tighten it in place with the wing nut, washer and tail piece.
- 6). Slide two connectors onto the 5-foot vinyl tube and secure one end of the tube on the shank and the other on the tap.
- 7). Slide two connectors onto the 3-foot vinyl tube and secure one end of the tube on the tap and the other on the CO2 regulator.
- 8). Attach CO2 regulator to CO2 tank.
- 9). Attach the tap to the keg.
