When Does Morning Sickness End?

Even though the term 'Morning Sickness' is associated with the early signs of pregnancy or with the first trimester of pregnancy, some women may experience nausea and vomiting even in the late pregnancy, during the third trimester.
The vomiting and nausea are not strictly confined to the first trimester of pregnancy.
So when does morning sickness end? If you are experiencing morning sickness in the third trimester of your pregnancy there are several reasons why this could happen.
The main reason could be due to the hormonal changes that your body is suffering, which is also thought to be the principal cause of why women get morning sickness in the first place.
But besides the hormone levels fluctuating, another thing happens which could also trigger the nausea.
Since the baby is a lot larger in the third trimester, the uterus may be pressing on the stomach.
If this proves to be the reason for your pregnancy nausea then out of all the morning sickness remedies, eating small meals frequently throughout the day would probably do it for you.
Another cause for your pregnancy nausea could be the presence of a virus or another illness.
Make sure that your nausea or vomiting does not interfere with your ability to eat as it is of great importance that you get all the vital nutrients that you and your baby need during pregnancy.
Drinking lots of water is also essential during pregnancy so as to avoid dehydration, especially if you are vomiting a lot.
There are some cases, although not that common, when pregnant women experience hyperemesis gravidarum (HG).
What this means is that the pregnant woman is suffering from a very severe form of morning sickness which may persist right until the baby is born and in some cases it may even continue some time after the baby has been born.
So if you are experiencing frequent and severe vomiting combined with nausea that are preventing you from retaining an adequate amount of food and liquids in your body then you may as well consider this option.
If you do have HG then it is imperative that you treat it immediately before it gets worse and negatively affects your health and your baby's health respectively.
Without proper morning sickness remedies you could become very dehydrated, lose weight, have difficulties in your daily activities or you may even have hallucinations.
Needless to say that HG has some very bad effects both on your health and your baby's health.
This condition may even put your baby at risk of developing diabetes or heart diseases later on in life.
It is very important that you immediately call your doctor if you experience severe stomach pain or if you are vomiting uncontrollably.
The most important thing now is that you remain healthy and therefore keep the baby health as well.
Although it does not occur very often, nausea in late pregnancy should not be overlooked.
Don't expect to get a clear answer to the question: when does morning sickness end? If you are experiencing dehydration symptoms whether in the first or the third semester of your pregnancy, make sure that you seek help immediately.
