How to Find Your Property Survey
- 1). Contact the company that transferred title when your property sale closed, typically a title company, and request a copy of the survey.
- 2). Contact the real estate agent you worked with if you do not remember your title company or they do not have a copy of the survey. The real estate agent may have kept as copy.
- 3). Contact the lender you used if neither the title company nor the real estate agent has a copy. The lender may hold a copy.
- 4). Contact the county in which you reside. Ask for the department that handles deed of transfer storage for properties. This department (typically the tax assessor or collector) may also have obtained and stored a copy of your survey.
