Its sweet, somewhat smoky flavor is unique and complex, and works well sliced into a salad or cooked as a quick sauce for pasta, chicken, or pork. For an indeterminate variety, 'Japanese Black Trifele' is very well-mannered, and doesn't get as monstrously huge as other indeterminates. In face, with a large enough pot and proper support, this tomato could be grown in a container.
