You Didn"t Make That Soup You Dip Dog - The Democrats and Their Socialist Government Did Dingo
In the background the TV set was running, and I couldn't get away from the Democratic National Convention 2012, they were playing that crap on every channel.
As I was making my soup a thought came to be, telling me; "you didn't make that soup dipstick, the government did.
" You see, as a retired businessman I am blown away that the President of the United States wants to take credit for all my hard work, my 17 hours a day for 27 years without a day off, and tell me I couldn't have done it without the government.
That is absolute horse crap.
You see, all I can remember when running my company was that every time I tried to do something, the government was in my way, or the bureaucracy wanted me to pay another license, fee, or tax.
And now, I am told that I couldn't have built my business without them, the hell I couldn't, and I could have built it twice as fast with half as much work had they not stood in my way every time I turned around, telling me what to do, and how to run my business, threatening me that I didn't fill out a certain form, or deal with a certain regulation which had nothing to do with my business model, then I would be in prison, fined, or thrown to the dogs.
Yeah, I didn't make that soup.
I did not cut up the vegetables, prepare the broth, or spend that 30 minutes chopping up all the ingredients from my garden to put into it.
People eat soup all over the world, and the hell I didn't make it.
Of course, now the government wants to tell me what I can and cannot eat, charge me extra money if I want to have a soda, and then tell me I have to buy expensive healthcare insurance, even though I exercise, eat right, and prepare my own healthy lunch.
Maybe the President of the United States doesn't believe that small business people build that business of theirs - maybe, and I am speculating - the reason he doesn't believe it is because the government helped him get where he was, and he couldn't have done it without the government.
Maybe that's why he thinks that the government helped everyone else also.
Further, I am not a dipstick, or a dingo, or the pet of the government.
I'm not interested in being a domesticated animal living in a nanny state.
I made that soup, and I ate it, and I deserved it.
And no, you can't take away my soup and replace it with Top Ramen, and then claim that you're somehow helping me - get your socialism out of my face! Keep your food stamps, keep your rules out of my life, and keep your mouth shut if you think that the government built that, it didn't, and no Mr.
President, you can't keep your job.
Please consider all this and think on it.
