Turn on your computer and make sure your hard drive is functioning correctly and that your operating system loads correctly. This ensures a safe and thorough uninstall process. Log in to your user account and click the "Start" button. Then select "Control Panel" and click "Classic View." Select the "Programs" icon and allow the list of installed applications to load. - 2). Scroll through the programs list and select McAfee Antivirus VirusScan from the menu. Click "Uninstall/Change" from the top of the window. The program's uninstall application will open in a new window. Click "Uninstall" and select "Next." Your computer will then begin uninstalling McAfee Antivirus VirusScan.
