Deodorizer

• 1). Clean the carpet with a vacuum cleaner to remove crumbs, dirt and other debris from the surface.
  
  
• 2). Pour 1 cup of borax in a container. Add 2 cups of cornmeal and stir with a spoon.
  
  
• 3). Cover the carpet with the mixture and wait 30 minutes to several hours. Use the vacuum cleaner to remove the powder off the carpet.
  
  

Fragrant Deodorizer

• 3). Add your favorite spices or dried leaves -- such as lavender or cloves -- to the powder and stir with a spoon.
  
  
• 4). Cover the carpet with the mixture and wait 30 minutes to several hours. Use the vacuum cleaner to remove the powder off the carpet.
