How to Filter With Avast
- 1). Click the Windows Start menu button and type "Avast." The Avast icon will appear in the search results at the top of the Start menu.
- 2). Click "Avast" to open the Avast window.
- 3). Click the "Settings" button to open the "Settings" window.
- 4). Click the "Exclusions" tab on the left side of the window. An "Exclusions" text box will appear on the right side of the window.
- 5). Click the "Browse" button. A pop-up window will open and display your hard drive's folders and files.
- 6). Put a check mark next to files and folders that you do not want Avast to scan and click "OK."
- 7). Click "OK" to close the "Settings" window.
