How to Clean Grape Kool-Aid from Carpet
- 1). Place paper towels over the grape Kool-Aid stain. Blot the stain to remove the Kool-Aid from the carpet. Do not rub the stain or you will push it deeper into the carpet fibers.
- 2). Mix together 2 cups of warm water with 1 tsp. of dish washing detergent.
- 3). Soak a washcloth in the soapy water. Wring out any excess water, and lay the cloth flat over the grape Kool-Aid stain.
- 4). Heat an iron on the lowest setting. Place the iron over the washcloth, and allow it to sit there for 15 minutes. The heat will allow the washcloth to absorb the stain.
- 5). Remove the iron and washcloth from the stain. If you still notice the stain, sprinkle baking soda over the damp area while the stain is still warm. Scrub the area with a wire brush, allow it to dry and vacuum it up.
- 6). Rinse the carpet with a clean, damp washcloth. Allow the carpet to air dry.
