  If you want a storage tower, you have a few decorative options. While a common storage tower stands tall with a few shelves, you can adjust this concept to suit your storage and room needs. Use several different ideas in small rooms where space may be limited to create an eclectic and functional style all your own.
  
  

Vertical Hanging Towers

• If flooring space is limited, consider hanging a storage tower unit onto a wall. If you decide to hang a storage unit on your wall, ensure that it is attached to the studs in the wall for support. To ensure that the installation screws hit the stud, use a stud finder before attaching them to the wall. A hanging tower unit is ideal for those who use floor space for other items or who have bare walls.
  
  

Half Towers

• If you are shopping around for storage towers, purchase several small storage towers with only two or three compartments. If you already have one tall storage unit, consider cutting it in half if you plan on using it in a smaller room. You could either place the half towers next to one another to create a rectangular or square unit or place two half towers in two different places in the room.
  
  

Perpendicular Storage Towers

• If you have a large storage tower unit that you do not want to cut in half but have no place to store it standing up, consider hanging it along the ceiling of the wall or in the middle of the wall. Box Towers

• Storage towers are usually made of wood and are pre-cut to suit a certain height, depth and width. If you would like a storage tower, but are unable to find a pre-cut one that suits your room or needs, consider making one yourself using boxes of your choice. A tower can be made from cardboard or plastic boxes that you have bought separately. Put the boxes on top of one another and glue them with super glue if the unit is to hold heavy items.
