The Crossroads of Life!
Good morning world! My alarm clock has tinkled, I whisk my eyes and wake...
I struggle to get off the bed, While the sun is still enjoying its break! Good morning Sun! Before your dawn, I have upsurged, Before you bask your sunny rays, Half my errands will be purged! LIFE AS AN INFANT...
I get nostalgic and revere about the past, Days when I was a fresher...
newbie in human race...
My life was so well-guarded...
No chore for me set in place! Oh Oh...
wait a moment, Have I forgotten my wails? The untimely wake-ups, Being new to this big bad world, Didn't it give me daily hiccups? I still remember all new assignments that mom gave, One day to eat, next day to speak, And to sit in my cradle, With no freedom to freak! LIFE AS A CHILD...
I get nostalgic, and revere about the past...
I dream of days when I was a child, The life was much at ease, The tasks too were mild.
Oh Oh..
..
wait a moment, Wasn't during those days, School homework a strain? When holding my pencil and later a pen, Gave my hands a constant pain! To learn about the things that existed, exist, or will do, I had humongous syllabi, and everything was new! New and unrelated, to my uncomplicated being, Still, I had to study, Though today, I don't remember a single thing! LIFE AS YOUTH...
Then came the new world of passion, I have relations and a well-settled profession.
Passion...
well, each passion carries a price, See...
to earn that salary check...
How early I need to rise! LIFE IN MIDDLE AGE And now I envisage, The era of maturity...
Will I get 'quality' time? Time? Well, That's something I certainly will never find, Under the stress of relations, responsibilities, and roles, I know my existence will further grind! LIFE AS A SENIOR CITIZEN...
Then, next...
the age of retirement! Well yes, that might be the age! Oh but...
when I won't earn...
Who'll provide a pocket money at that stage? I will then get older, And will start decaying with time, And then I will surely miss, The days of my prime! I won't be able to freak out, Nor be able to jump or run...
Well God...
thinking of all these stages...
Please clarify...
Which age did you make for fun? GOD'S VERDICT Well all that God answered me was, "Child, from the day that you adopt the human cult, Don't worry, keep smiling...
and simply assume that...
It's only the first hundred years, That will be the most difficult!"
