Five Key Points to Happiness
In this little sample story below, my intention is to give examples of how we live our lives, in the exclusion of recognizing the points in life that can be used to bring about peace and satisfaction in our daily walk.
The points I hope to bring out in this little work: 1.
God is Love 2.
To each is given a chance for choice, how we choose to live our lives, is determined by the choices we make.
3.
We need to determine what it is that we are really looking for in life, before we settle for any belief.
4.
We need to recognize that all we want, lies within our grasp, simply waiting for our awareness to happen.
5.
We need to accept that what we believe, dictates our fate.
What is This Thing Called Love? "You've pulled me from my house, you've abused the right I gave you, to use Me at your will!" "So what, You gave me the choice!" "So I did, but I had hopes you would at least consider what I Am, before throwing me to the dogs!" "What is that supposed to mean? Consider what you are? Are you kidding me, you told me I could have everything I want.
Well, I want my freedom, I want to do what I want to do, be who I want to be, is that so hard for You to understand?" "Don't forget who you are speaking to! Nothing is hard for Me to understand, I see the end of your journey, you, on the contrary, are in the midst of it.
It would appear that you think you will never move on from here.
It is as if you think change does not happen every minute of every day! You seem to think that you know better than I what will satisfy the yearning inside you.
" "Well, I must admit, You haven't done such a great job yet, at making my life look like what I want it to look like!" "Ah, so now you want to go back to the drawing board and say that it is Me, who has failed you? Well, let me remind you, it was I who gave you the right to call on Me for all of your needs to be met, you however, have chosen to live unmindful of the opportunities which are available to you.
" "Yah, like what, the opportunity to stay stuck in this 24/7 life and not do anything that makes me happy?" "Maybe it is time for you to look back over your dream list, see what you have asked for in the past, maybe even make a list if you don't already have one, of all those things you wanted so short a time ago, as one year.
What was on your list at that time? What did you figure would make you satisfied, if only you had it? Come on, be honest, have you achieved some of those things on your want list from one or more years ago? Have they done the trick?" "That's not really fair, I deserve to be happy!" "So, are you saying that if you had all the things you want, you would be happy?" "Who wouldn't be?" "Aha, I was afraid you would never ask.
Did you do as I said, take a tally of what you have received out of what you had on a dream list?" "Yes.
" "Have you seen anything that you wanted and received that you find to be unsatisfactory in as far as what you thought it would do for you?" "Of course, everyone does that.
" "We are not discussing everyone here, only you.
You are your best witness to the fact that anything outside yourself, cannot make you happy, for any length of time.
Everything is only temporal, with the exception of Me.
I am Love, without me, you will never find peace nor even satisfaction for any length of time.
Seek Me, seek joy, seek peace, find happiness.
" "I don't want to wait, I don't have to, You told me I could have what I want!" "That I did, but remember, I also told you to dwell on that which is good, be at peace with all men, give, to do unto others what you would have them do unto you, would you have them leave you as a child to fend for themselves in a world without wisdom? I have not left you, I cannot leave you, it is by my design that you exist!" "I am Love! Do not attempt to live in this world, without me, for you cannot, you will never be happy if you search for any, other than Love!" Find Love, find joy, in this order you will find peace!
