How to Make 6-Pointed Stars
- 1). Fold a square piece of paper in half with a horizontal crease and again with a vertical crease so that the square is four times smaller than the original. Unfold the vertical crease to form a rectangle with a creased vertical line up the middle.
- 2). Fold the right edge of the rectangle over so that it meets the vertical creased line. Run your finger along this crease and then unfold it. You now have a rectangle with two vertical creased lines, one in the middle and one on the right.
- 3). Bring the bottom left corner of the rectangle up to meet the middle vertical crease, just below the top edge of the rectangle. Fold the bottom right corner up to meet the edge of the left side. You now have an arrow shape with one point facing toward you and two points facing away from you.
- 4). Fold the arrow in half with the bare edges of the paper facing each other. You now have a long diamond-shaped piece of folded paper with a long pointed end and a short pointed end.
- 5). Cut the paper along a 45-degree angle from the left edge near the short pointed end to the right edge. Discard the short pointed end that you cut off. Unfold the long pointed end to reveal a six-pointed star.
