How to Make a Pacman Costume
- 1). Place your bright yellow craft foam on a large, flat surface. Draw a circle on it that is as long as your body from your neck to your knees and is wider than your body. The size of the craft foam you need depends on the size of the person wearing the costume. For example, if the person is about 5 feet, 5 inches tall and average weight, the craft foam and cardboard should be about 4-by-3 feet.
- 2). Cut out the circle with a pair of scissors. Cut a triangle out of the circle so that it looks like a pizza or a pie with a piece cut out, creating the mouth of Pac-Man.
- 3). Place your cut-out shape on top of your second sheet of craft foam. Trace around it with a pencil to make a second Pac-Man shape. Cut out the shape on the second sheet of craft foam.
- 4). Place each sheet of craft foam on top of a large sheet of cardboard. Trace around the craft foam shapes onto the cardboard. Cut the same shapes out of cardboard.
- 5). Glue the cardboard onto the back of the craft foam using craft glue. The cardboard will reinforce the craft foam so that it won't be floppy while wearing the costume.
- 6). Cut Pac-Man's eye shape out of a piece of black construction paper. The eye is shaped just like Pac-Man's body. Glue the eye shape onto one of the yellow craft foam shapes.
- 7). Cut two strips out of your yellow fabric that are about 1-inch wide and roughly 6-inches long for an adult. The length of the fabric strip will depend on the size of the person wearing the costume.
- 8). Glue the strips to the inside back of one craft foam shape and to the inside back of the second shape in the same spot. The strips will create straps for the costume that go over shoulders so the costume can be worn like a sandwich board.
- 9). Put on a yellow sweat suit and then drape the Pac-Man costume over your shoulders.
