Replace the Battery

• 1). Push down on the tab for the battery cover and pull up on the battery cover.
  
  
• 2). Take the battery cover off and set it aside. Take the old battery out of the device.
  
  
• 3). Insert a new battery with the "+" side facing up. The battery will rest on the metal contact.
  
  
• 4). Set the battery cover back on the meter and press until you hear it snap into place.
  
  

Confirm Date and Time

• 1). Press "Power" to turn on the meter. Press "Power" for at least four seconds to enter the "Set" mode. The word "Set" will begin flashing on the screen.
  
  
• 2). Press the arrow buttons to change the hour. Press "Power" to set the hour. Repeat this step to set the minutes, a.m./p.m., the day, month and year.
  
  
• 3). Press "Power" when finished until the test strip appears. Press "Power" again to turn off the meter.
