play pocket aces to perfection
Starting with a pair of aces may seem like a very basic and easy play, but truth be told incorrectly playing bullets, the best possible starting hand is a huge mistake for many poker players. Reason being you don't get a pair of aces very often, so you either going to forfeit a large amount of winnings by incorrect play, or you could put yourself in situations where you will be quickly eliminated from a tournament.
Your primary goal should be to see the flop with 2 players and you want opponents playing at you with picture cards, attempting to beat you with top pair. How to face only two or one opponent with the bullets depends on how the players at the table play, if they are very loose you should go all in immediately and you will most likely have some foolish so called opposition calling with J 5 or the like. If they are very tight try trapping them, just be sure to put out the minimum possible raise so you only face holdings like K 7, provided you feel it won't scare every player at the entire table to fold of course, just call into the pot.
Whenever you find yourself one on one with a player, aim to abstract the maximum. Facing an opponent who either over plays or bluffs a lot, you should just become a calling station, someone who just calls to everything, but take your time in doing so, reason being you will be presenting the illusion you know you are about to make a huge mistake. Now if he cools off on the betting towards the end, still maintaining the impression that you are week, in a very hesitant manner, bet small as if you want to buy the pot, good chance he may feel like busting out a big bluff. Now if you are one on one with aces against a tight player just call him down to the river, let him catch something so you can trap him, if he just calls all the way to the final card just bust out a small bet quickly, he will either call and you got paid the most you possibly could have from this type of player, or he might raise if you are lucky. In which case just take your time and wait to appear week then bust out a large bet. Now if the tight player catches the card he was hoping for and bet's, check & call his bets but be very quick in doing so all the way to the river acting as if you are still trying to catch a particular card, but on the final card quickly go all in. This will seem like you were impatiently trying to catch cards then made an oversized bluff to buy the pot, just be quick to act at all times.
When to fold pocket aces, this segment is important
Why would you fold pocket aces? Well the only time you should ever fold this hand, is if either you feel that you will be facing more than 3 all ins or there is already 3 all ins or more before you. In a cash game calling would be fine but in a sit and go were as if you are eliminated you don't get any money, going all in against 3 opponents leaves you with a fifty percent chance of winning. Someone may catch two pair or a flush remember a lot beats a pair of aces. Against 3 opponents you have slightly over a coin flip of having more chips to play with which does not guarantee victory or, getting knocked out with zip. However if you are in the bubble the paid positions already then aggressive play is needed this kind of math would be worth it. The other only time to muck this hand early is if an opposing player has as clear as day caught a flush or a straight you don't have a draw to. Bottom line, don't fold bullets play bullets unless you are in one of the incredibly rare situations above.
