Side Effects of Olux
- There are not many common side effects associated with use of Olux emulsion. The main minor and common side effect that is associated with the medicine is mild irritation of the skin. In most cases, the irritation subsides quickly as the body adapts to the medicine. However, if the irritation lingers or worsens with time, it might be necessary to seek medical attention.
- There are some serious side effects that also could occur with Olux emulsion application. In cases of potentially harmful side effects, it is necessary to seek emergency medical assistance. Some serious side effects of the medication include skin rash that resembles acne, peeling, cracking, swelling, burning and irritation (that didn't exist before the medication was applied), inflammation of the hair follicles, abnormal weight gain (particular in the facial area), weakness of the muscles, skin discoloration, the skin becoming thinner or softer and mouth inflammation.
- There are also possible severe side effects of Olux Emulsion. In cases of allergic reaction, emergency medical attention is absolutely necessary. Some signs of allergic reaction to Olux are breaking out into hives, itchiness, skin rash, swelling of the tongue, mouth, lips and face, chest tightness and trouble with breathing.
- Some common side effects of the foam version of Olux include itchiness, irritation, stinging sensation, burning, and hair follicle inflammation. These side effects are usually considered to be minor and go away on their own. However, should the side effects not go away (or if they worsen), a doctor should be notified as soon as possible.
- There are some possible serious side effects of using the Olux foam. The two primary harmful side effects of Olux foam are swelling and redness. If these side effects are present, it is beneficial to quit using the medication immediately and seek medical assistance.
- Allergic reactions can also occur with Olux foam. Allergic reactions require emergency medical attention. The signs of allergic reaction for the foam are similar to the signs for the emulsion, and include itchiness, skin rash, breaking out into hives, chest tightness, difficulty with breathing, and swelling (lips, mouth, face, and tongue).
