Even after you have several relationships started, be sure to constantly cultivate additional relationships to maintain contacts and a wide range of coverage when you need it.
- 2). Put a database together to include all contacts. Use a spreadsheet format so you can include contact info, services provided, pricing and reliability. You should also track the required notice needed with each vendor so when you have a marketing need, you can quickly ascertain who will get it done by the deadline.
- 3). Create a profile for your organization on a professional networking or social media site. Once it is up and running, search out and add potential outsource marketing vendors to your friend/contact list. This will allow you to keep up on the latest happenings with each of them as well as announce your needs and events to them.
- 4). Attend area events where you can promote your marketing company. It is not necessary to advertise that you are outsourcing your company needs. Set up booths, tents and tables at as many events as you can. The best venues for such activities are where businesses will be gathered. Chamber of Commerce events, business trade shows and other events to network business owners will give you the opportunity to meet many potential clients and vendors under one umbrella.
- 5). Approach any and all businesses, organizations and individuals you encounter to discuss your ability to market their services and products. Even companies that will not need the services of a marketing firm will have contact with businesses that could use your services. Keep business cards with you at all times.
- 6). Host a get-together once or twice a year for all of the outsource businesses you use for your clients. Showing them appreciation will keep your relationship with them strong.
