How to Snorkel With a Sea Scooter
- 1). Check the maximum depth of both your sea scooter and where you intend to snorkel before you set out. Sea scooters are intended for underwater use, not just use on the surface. While it is unlikely you would take a sea scooter down to a depth that would rupture its seals while snorkeling, it may happen and you should be aware of its limits so as to avoid that possibility.
- 2). Put on your mask, snorkel and fins before you start up the sea scooter.
- 3). Once in the water, take hold of one the sea scooter's handle and turn on the scooter with your free hand. Then, grab hold of both handles and allow the sea scooter to pull you forward. Do not swim with the scooter. Instead, let it do all the work.
- 4). Increase or decrease your speed using the trigger-like throttle controls on the handles.
- 5). Turn right, left, up or down by turning the scooter with your arms. Once again, do not swim, but allow the scooter do all the work.
