How to Clean Lambskin Carpets
- 1). Hold your lambskin rug at one end, or have someone else hold it so the rug is standing straight up. Brush the lambskin surface with a wool wire brush. The wire brush will get down into the lambskin and remove dirt by loosening it.
- 2). Clean your washable lambskin rug in your washing machine. Use warm water and a nonenzymic shampoo made specifically for lambskin or sheepskin products.
- 3). Add wool conditioner to the rinse cycle of the washing machine. The wool conditioner adds important moisturizers back into the lambskin.
- 4). Shake out your lambskin rug to remove any traces of dirt hiding down in the fibers. Spray the surface with a lambskin or sheepskin protector to help repel stains.
- 5). Allow your lambskin rug to air out. Keep it out of direct sunlight, in a shaded area or near an open window.
