Chevrolet introduced the Trailblazer for the 2002 model year. The Trailblazer served as the brand's midsize SUV, replacing the S10 Blazer. The Trailblazer was not merely a revision of its predecessor, but a new vehicle from the ground up built on General Motors' new GTM360 truck platform.
