How to Preserve a Popcorn Garland
- 1). Cover a flat surface, such as a table or countertop, with newspapers to protect the surface. Work in an area with decent air ventilation.
- 2). Lay the popcorn garland flat on the prepared surface.
- 3). Hold the can of shellac or acrylic spray six to 12 inches away from the garland. Spray one side of the garland with clear shellac or acrylic spray. Allow the shellac or acrylic to dry for 20 minutes and turn the garland over and spay the other side. Allow this side to dry for 20 minutes.
- 4). Store the popcorn garland in an airtight plastic storage container with a lid. Wrap the garland in tissue paper as added protection.
