    • 3). Prepare a brochure containing key points about your product and your business. Include your mailing address and an envelope with a prepaid postage stamp, so that potential customers can respond for more information.

    • 4). Design a coupon or sales flyer to include with your first brochure. Consider offering a percentage off of the first purchase made by each customer or a certain dollar off a specific product.

Mail every potential customer your brochure or catalog, including the coupon or sales flyer.

    • 6). Continue sending updates and advertisements to potential customers on a regular basis, even if an initial purchase is not made. Once a month mailings are considered best. However, if a potential customer requests removal from your mailing list, do not continue sending mailings.

    • 7). Fill every order you receive in the mail, immediately. Include a packing slip and additional advertisements in the box and ship to the customer. All orders should be shipped and received by the customer within two weeks of purchase.
