Get set for glitz and glamour in Delhi!
Delhis sprawling Pragati Maidan will host the mother of all fashion shows: this mega event, the graduating evening of fashion and glitz In-depth 2012 - The Grand Fashion Show is being presented by Satyam Fashion Institute and the theme for the evening is a palette of Unforgettable Hues which will swish from colours in fashion, to the variegated colours of entertainment and emotions.
The evening will be a pot-pourri of social and political celebrities, movie stars, fashionistas, talented designers and a peek into what the fashion trends are going to be for the upcoming season.
Expect to rub shoulders with the crme de la creme: Charming Shashi Tharoor will deliver the inaugural address, while fashion gurus Shantanu and Nikhil will be the guests of honour.
The star-studded evening will also see a guest appearance by the cast of the soon-to-be-released-Yashraj Production movie, Ishaqzaade which has already created quite a stir even though it will open at the box office on 11th May.
Allow the stardust to drench you as you meet the stellar cast including Arjun Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Anil Rastogi, Gauhar Khan and others.
Get set to rock to the films chartbusters Aafaton ke parinde, Chokra jawan, pareshaan and jhalla walla.
Watch the ramp for the stylish creations of a fresh crop of designers from the Institute as they display a melange of silhouettes, designs, colourful prints, boundless creativity, innovative ideas and bold imagination to create an extravaganza like no other.
The ensembles will be a mix of contemporary, Western, ethnic and fusion-wear with inspirations entrenched in Indian art, tradition and fabrics but presented with a modern twist.
Names to watch out for will be Mohini, Vaishali, Pooja, Tayyaba, Richa Sharma, Himanshi, Himani, Shalini Verma and lots more innovative and budding designers.
