- 4). Remove the original equipment air intake channel and boxes.
- 1). Unscrew the four 10mm bolts on top of the radiator cross bar.
- 2). Disconnect the sensor located on the passenger side of the radiator shroud.
- 3). Locate and remove seven screws from the lower front portion of the bodywork that secure the radiator shroud.
- 4). Slide the radiator shroud up and out of the engine compartment. The shroud can be gently flexed to gain clearance for removal.
- 1). Place the Vararam template on the radiator shroud. Position the bottom of the template even with the frame rail at the bottom of the shroud and centered between the two shroud-release dimples.
- 2). Trace the outline of the template on the shroud with a white marker.
- 3). Cut the outline out of the shroud using a box knife with a short blade.
- 4). Reinstall the radiator shroud.
- 1). Install the Vararam air filter into the Vararam upper air box.
- 2). Join the upper and lower Vararam ducts together and secure them with the T-handles.
- 3). Install the Vararam unit in one piece, sliding it down into position from the top of the radiator.
- 4). Move under the car and temporarily secure the lower duct to the small bumper tabs to hold it in place while mounting screws are attached.
- 5). Mount the Vararam to the main red bracket and to the frame rail using supplied screws. Use the supplied Allen screws to attach the unit to the frame support.
- 6). Attach one end of the supplied MAF sensor hose to the duct outlet and tighten the clamp. Attach the other end of the hose to the MAF sensor and tighten the clamp.
