Rush Hour 3 Movie Preview
LAPD Detective James Carter (Chris Tucker) and Chinese Chief Inspector Lee (Jackie Chan) travel to Paris to battle the Triads in the long-anticipated third film of the Rush Hour series, Rush Hour 3. It's been six years since the last Rush Hour movie and during that time Tucker didn't make a single movie, while Chan went on to star in such films as Shanghai Knights, The Medallion and Around the World in 80 Days.
So why did it take so long to get Rush Hour 3 into production? Director Ratner said the delay in getting Rush Hour 3 off the ground was because Tucker wasn't ready. "Everyone has to be ready. When Chris isn't ready, I go do Red Dragon," explained Ratner. "When Chris isn't ready, I go do The Family Man. When Chris isn't ready, I go do X-Men. Then when he's ready, he comes around and we do it. So now he's doing it."
