City of Buckeye's Old Fashioned Independence Day Celebration

Where is it?

Youngker High School, 3000 S. Apache Road, Buckeye

When is it?

Saturday, July 4, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

What will happen?

Begin the evening with some wet and wild fun in the water zone, with bouncy houses and an obstacle course to help stay cool (for a fee).  Then the popular West Valley group The Screamin’ Javelinas will perform from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Be sure to stop by for free watermelon, generously provided by the Buckeye Main Street Coalition (while supplies last).  A variety of food vendors will be on hand to offer broasted chicken, BBQ, hot dogs, Italian sausage, kettle corn, and a wide variety of ice cold drinks and slushies. Sales of glow sticks and other glow products will help support youth sports scholarships.

The fireworks display will take place around 9 p.m.

What does it cost?

Admission is free. Parking is free.

What else do I need to know?

Bring your own blankets and lawn chairs. Coolers permitted, but no alcoholic beverages. Well-behaved pets on leashes are permitted, as long as you clean up after them.
