How to Make Foam Easter Coasters
- 1). Cut designs from the foam. You can cut out the shape of an Easter egg. Use a cup as a guide to cut out round forms. You can also use large cookie cutters that are in the shape of Easter designs. You need 4 cutouts per set.
- 2). Draw designs on the coasters with permanent markers. On the egg shaped coasters, draw designs that look like real Easter eggs that you have decorated. You can make them look like they are dyed by using a few pastel colors. Draw squiggly lines on them. Write the kid's names on them.
- 3). Draw crosses or baby chicks on the round coasters. You can draw a basket for the chicks or a basket for eggs. Any Easter design will look good. You can have the children draw what they think Easter means to them. You will have a wonderful keepsake to hold on to. You can use embellishments and sequins to decorate the coasters, but it will make them harder to clean.
- 4). Use a Easter Bunny cookie cutter. Outline the features on the coaster. Color in the outline and repeat until you have 4 coasters. Give each one a slightly different look by changing facial features or using a different color for each one.
- 5). Spray on a coat of craft sealer after the marker has dried completely. Use the coaster to outline a piece of felt. Cut out the felt. Glue it to the bottom of the coaster. Let the glue dry overnight before using.
